1. Felicitation of Senior Members on the Foundation Day of the Stpam and Diwali Get-together

Felicitation of Senior Members on the Foundation Day of the Sales Tax Practitioners’ Association and Diwali Get-together was arranged on 17th November, 2006 at Rama Watumjull Auditorium, K.C. College, Dinshaw Wacha Road, Churchgate, Mumbai 400 020.

Hon'ble Justice, Shri H. L. Gokhale of Bombay High Court inaugurated the function and blessed the members. Hon'ble President Shri G. D. Parekh, Maharashtra Sales Tax Tribunal, addressed the members on the occasion. Other Hon'ble members of the Maharashtra Sales Tax Tribunal and office-bearers of other professional bodies had graced the occasion.

Some 88 senior members were felicitated on the occasion. Shri Punjab Singh from Patna enthralled everybody while delivering a lecture on the subject "Art of Happy Living".

2. Study Circle Meeting:

The 6th Study Circle Meeting will be held at The Sales Tax Practitioners’ Association Library Hall, R. No. 104, First Floor, Vikrikar Bhavan, Mazgaon, on 23rd November, 2006 wherein Shri S.S. Gaitonde, Advocate, will speak on Meaning of "Works Contract" under MVAT Act, 2002, and under C.S.T. Act,1956.

5. Full Day Seminar – Jointly organised by five professional bodies

A full day seminar on Co-operative Housing Societies was organised jointly by AIFTP, BCAS, CTC, STPAM and WIRC of ICAI on 11-11-2006 at B. N. Vaidya Sabhagriha, (King George School), Dadar (E). The seminar was well attended by members of all the five Associations.
