Study Circle Meetings

The 13th Study Circle Meeting was held at the Sales Tax Practitioners’ Association Library Hall, R.No. 104, First Floor, Vikrikar Bhavan, Mazgaon, on 5th April, 2006 when Shri P.C. Joshi, Advocate, spoke on "Levy of Sales Tax on Services liable to Service Tax in the context of recent Supreme Court Judgment in the case of BSNL".

The 14th Study Circle Meeting was held at the Sales Tax Practitioners’ Association Library Hall, R. No. 104, First Floor, Vikrikar Bhavan, Mazgaon, on 18th April, 2006 when Shri Rajkumar S. Adukia, Chartered Accountant will spoke on "Recent Amendments in Service Tax".

Felicitation of Shri R. V. Patel, Advocate

Felicitation of Shri R. V. Patel, Advocate and doyen of our profession was organized by our Association jointly with the Sales Tax Tribunal Bar Association on 12th April, 2006 at S. T. P. Library, in recognition of his lifelong contribution to the profession and the Associations. The Hon’ble President and Hon’ble Members of the Maharashtra Sales Tax Tribunal, the Hon’ble Commissioner of Sales Tax, other distinguish guests, past Presidents of our Association and members in large numbers attended the function. A Scroll of Honour was presented to him on the occasion. Members recalled and applauded Shri Patel’s contribution and wished him good and healthy life.
