3. Study Circle Meeting:

The Special Study Circle Meeting was held at The Sales Tax Practitioners’ Association Library Hall, R.No. 104, First Floor, Vikrikar Bhavan, Mazgaon, on 7th February, 2008 wherein our Senior and stalwarts in profession S/Shri. P.V. Surte, S.S. Gaitonde and P.C. Joshi guided our members on rampantly notices received from Sales Tax Departments. Members in large numbers attended the same.

4. Regional Centre Committee Meeting :

The Regional Centre Committee meeting was held at R.V. Patel Conference Hall, STPAM, R. No. 8 & 9, Mazgaon Tower, Mazgaon, on 7th February, 2008 wherein discussed on the points raised by our President in the Letter addressed to The Commissioner of Sales Tax which is pub-lished in Sales Tax Review, January 2008.

5. Outstation Seminars :

The Association has organised Outstation Seminar at Solapur Jointly with The Income Tax-Sales Tax Practitioners’ Association of Solapur on 9th February, 2008. The speakers in the seminar were Shri. Vinayak P. Patkar, Deepak K. Bapat, G.Y.Patwardhan and Kishor T. Lulla on the subject of Highlights of Works Contract, Recent Amendments in VAT Act & Rules, Right to Information.

The Association has also organised seminar at Thane jointly with Tax Practitioners’ Association of Thane on 14th February, 2008. The speakers in the seminar were Shri Kiran G. Garkar, Nitin S. Shah, Pune, Kantilal Jain and Kishor T. Lulla – Sangli on the subject of “Role of Sales Tax Advisor in Business Audit, Recent Amendment to MVAT Rules”. In all 65 participants attended the seminar.
