NOTIFICATION

MAHARASHTRA VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2002. 

        No VAT. 1507/CR-38/Taxation-1- In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 (Mah. IX of 2005), the Government of Maharashtra, hereby amends, with effect from the 1^st April 2007, Schedules A and C appended to the said Act, as follows, namely :- 

        In the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002 – 

1. in Schedule A

1. in entry 9A, in column (2), for the figures, letters and word 31^st March 2007” the figures, letters and word “30” September 2007” shall be substituted;

2. for entry 45, the following entries shall be substituted, namely :-
   
   "45 sugar and fabrics as described from time to time in column 

(3)  of the First Schedule to the Additional Duties of Excise (Goods of Special Importance) Act, 1957 (58 of 1957)

45A (a) unmanufactured tobacco covered under tariff heading No. 2401 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986)

 

(b) biris covered under tariff item No. 24031031 , 24031039, 24031090 of the Central Excise Tariff Act, 1985 (5 of 1986)

3. in entry 51, in column (2), for the figures, letters and word ‘31^st March 2007” the figures, letters and word “30^th September 2007” shall be substituted;

4. In entry 54, in column (2), the words, figures and letters “Sold during the period upto 31^st March 2007” shall be deleted;

2. in Schedule C,

1. in entry 20, in column (2), for the figures, letters and word “1^st April 2007”, the figures, letters and word “1^st October 2007” shall be substituted;

2. in entry 37, in column (2), for the figures letters and word “1^st April 2007”, the figures, letters, letters and word “1^st October 2007” shall be substituted;

3. in entry 40, in column (2), for the figures, letters and word “1^st April 2007”, the figures, letters and word “1^st October 2007” shall be substituted;

4. entry 60 shall be deleted;

5. in entry 91, in column (2), in clause (b), for the figures, letters and word “1^st April 2007” the figures, letters and word “1^st October 2007” shall be substituted;

6. in entry 106, in column (2), in clause (b), for the figures, letters and word “1^st April 2007” the figures, letters and word “1^st October 2007” shall be substituted;

7. in entry 108, in column (2), for the figures, letters and word “31^st March 2007” the figures, letters and word “30^th September 2007” shall be substituted;

8. in entry 109, in column (2), for the figures, letters and word “1^st April 2007” the figures, letters and word “1^st October 2007” shall be substituted.
