We are pleased to announce hereunder our programme for the 1st Study Circle Meeting for the year 2006-07.

Shri G. D. Parekh, the Hon’ble President of Maharashtra Sales tax Tribunal has kindly consented to inaugurate the First Study Circle Meeting and address us on the occasion Sr. Advocate Shri Firoz Andhyarujina would speak on ‘Controversial issues in Taxation’.

Subject	:	‘Controversial Issues in Taxation’ — Meaning of goods and taxability of Intangible goods such as software Licence, DEPB, etc., levy of Service Tax and sales Tax on Compos ite Transactions such as Repairs and Maintenance, Banquest Services, Construction Services, Intellectual Property rights; with reference to decisions of the Supreme Court in the case of BSNI and Sunrise Associates.
